Mono Lake and Mammoth Ski

During spring break, my wife, some good friends, and I, went to Bishop and stayed at a the Creekside Inn. We left at 10pm the first night in order to make it in time for the sunrise at Mono lake, where we got some great shots.  Once the sun was up, we moved on to Convict Lake, where the scenery had its own beauty. After being awake for about 36 hours, we fell into bed around two PM, ending day one.  On the second day, my wife and I stopped outside a small abandoned church just outside of Mammoth Lakes. Took a couple of shots with a 4x5 large format camera, then headed out to Mammoth Lakes proper (where we sampled the local bakery wares). We then headed back to Bishop to meet up with our friends and go back to Mono Lake for some sunset pictures. We tried to get some night shots in Mammoth Lakes, but when it started snowing after just a couple of shots, we decided it was too cold and we headed back to the room.  On the third day we all headed out to Mammoth Ski Lodge for a gondola ride to the very peak of Mammoth Mountain, a mere 11,000 feet up. Took the most beautiful shots I have seen in a long time. It was extremely cold and windy but worth every moment. While my wife drove home, I passed a few signs that I couldn't resist snapping a quick shot of as we flew by.
