First Time Out

This is my first attempt at blogging. I will be posting pictures, as well as talking about where I have gone and will be going.  This is the first photo that I entered into a competition.  It was selected and was shown in a gallery on El Paseo in Palm Springs.  It was taken in San Diego by the bay at dusk. This beautiful pelican sat for an entire 20 minutes posing for me. I used a Nikon D80 DSLR with a 300mm zoom lens in Raw format.
